For a cancer patient, it's hard to articulate how being seriously ill feels. You crave survival. You long for pain to end, for ice chips on parched lips, for brush of a soft hand...
Yeh Yeh had enjoyed the good companion and loves rendered by Daddy. Its obvious that he really appreciated it, Yeh Yeh mentioned to many whom visited him "I had a very good son!"
Death is a stack reminder to live every day to it's fullest.
It so easy to get lost in the day to day routine.
My l'il bro remarked "Yeh Yeh has gone to heaven right?"
Yes, Yeh Yeh is in peace now... no more pain or suffering.
He will be missed greatly and will always remain in our hearts...
Our last gathering with Yeh Yeh.... early Jan 2014 reunion dinner... then, he was still strong and healthy... then he started to fall sick 3 weeks later.
From Feb - March 2014, he was in and out of TTSH doing checkup / review and etc.. but the doctors did not manage to diagnose any thing wrong with him... Doctors say is old-people illness.. it's alright and normal.
No need to be warded, send home for home rest and medication...
Yeh Yeh get thinner and weaker by days...
Gu-Ma and Daddy decided to send him to A&E in early April as he really got too weak,
before the ambulance came on that day, he fainted at the void deck.
He was revived, and warded. ICU doctors then break the news to us that yeh Yeh is at Stage 4 cancer. All parts of his organs are affected. Very critical. No one can explain why the doctors say nothing during the checkup / review in earlier months...
no one can explained...
Yeh Yeh hanged on for another good 2 months at the hospital before he passed on..
He left us on 5th June 2014

Rest in peace Yeh Yeh... |
